Uploading lab results in Agworld (via SHP file tool)

Step 1: Select Your File

  • If you are an agronomist select the client you would like to upload sample results for.

  • Then, click the 3 dots to the right of the Company Name.

  • Click Import Sample Results

  • Begin by selecting the file that contains your lab results.

  • A preview of the file contents will appear so you can confirm you’ve selected the correct one.

  • Click Continue to proceed.

Step 2: Map File Columns

  • On the next page, map the columns in your file to the appropriate attributes or lab tests.

  • If your file does not include a Sample Collection Date or Lab Analysis Date, you’ll need to add these manually at the bottom of the page.

  • Dates can be entered in Year-Month-Day format or selected from the calendar tool.

  • Once a date is added, you can choose to apply it to all sample collections and/or all lab analysis dates in the file.

Step 3: Confirm Upload Details

  • After adding all necessary information, you’ll see a preview showing:

    • Which fields will be uploaded.

    • The number of samples associated with each.

  • Review this carefully.

  • When ready, click Confirm to upload the sample results into Agworld.

Step 4: Verify Upload

  • Once the upload is complete, you can close the upload window.

  • Navigate to Workflow Sample Collection to view the submitted jobs.

  • The jobs will be grouped automatically into the correct season based on the dates in the file or the dates you added during upload.

Step 5: View Results

  • Uploaded results will appear as submitted for surfacing.

  • After a short processing time, the results will be available to view in Agworld.

Tip: Always double-check that your file includes or is assigned the correct collection and analysis dates. This ensures results are grouped into the proper season.

How to Import Historic Soil Sample Results into Agworld - via CSV (Lab in Agworld)

Importing historic soil sample results into Agworld allows you to centralize your data and view soil layers across fields and seasons. Follow the steps below to prepare your file and upload results successfully.

1. Prepare Your Soil Sample CSV File

Before importing, ensure your soil sample results are saved in a CSV format and include the following columns:

  • Sample number or barcode

  • Coordinates (for each sampled point)

  • Lab results

  • Sample date

  • Lab analysis date (can be the same as the sample date if needed)

Formatting dates

  1. Highlight all cells with dates.

  2. Format the cells to Year–Month–Day (YYYY-MM-DD).

  3. Save your CSV file.

✅ Tip: You can include lab results from multiple fields in one CSV if you’d like to bulk import.

2. Choose Where to Import Sample Results

There are three locations in Agworld where you can import soil sample data:

Option A: Import at the Company Level

  • Click the three dots next to the company name.

  • Select Import Sample Results.

Option B: Import at the Field Level

  • Click the three dots next to the specific field.

  • Select Import Sample Results.

Option C: Import via Sample Collection Workflow

  • Hover over the Workflow tab.

  • Choose Sample Collection.

  • Click Import Sample Results in the top-right corner.

3. Map CSV Columns to Agworld Attributes

  1. Upload your CSV file.

  2. Map each column to the correct attribute in Agworld:

    • Lab result columns → Lab result attributes.

    • Other columns (e.g., sample dates, barcodes) → Sample attributes.

  3. Ignore any unnecessary columns—these won’t be imported.

💡 Once mapped, Agworld will remember your column headers for future imports, as long as the headers stay the same.

4. Process and View Results

  • Click Upload to begin processing.

  • When processing is complete, you’ll see the imported soil layers in Agworld.

  • Agworld will automatically create historic seasons for the imported dates, and you’ll see corresponding sample jobs under the Sample Collection page.

Key Benefits

  • Bulk import multiple fields at once.

  • Automatic season creation for historic dates.

  • Reusable column header mapping for faster future imports.

👉 By following these steps, you’ll have all your historic soil sample results centralized in Agworld for better analysis and long-term field management.
